I just want a TV to watch rented films, is it possible to have a TV without the TV signal?
I live in the UK. At the moment, I dont have a TV and use my computer to watch rented films. Ive been wondering perhaps it would be nice to watch films in a bigger screen, but Im not really interested in broadcastTV. I dont want the TV signal and I dont want to pay the TV license. Is it possible to have a TV and dont get the broadcast?

I have a TV but only watch DVDs and play Wii on it. We wrote to the TV licensing people and explained that we didnt need a TV license. They said they might come and check that we werent using it to watch TV, but they havent yet. Just in case, dont have any ariel plugged in to the TV so that if they do inspect the place you can prove you dont use it for that purpose.
